The Context

Amped RC begins with our signature Mini4WD series. From one-day race challenges to multi-week programs, Amped is a powerful way to introduce learners to our curriculum in a hands-on, approachable way. From there, we can work toward fully remote control cars, go karts and more, depending on learner experience, age and learning context.

The Mission

While STEM skills and understanding of electric powertrains is anchoring element of Amped, the foundational work of the series focuses on curiosity & critical thinking, persistence and focus, with the reward of getting on track.

The Work

Seeing a learner hit the ‘on’ switch to something they built with their own hands is truly special. From racing & competing in challenges to modifying your build, test & tune events, track and livery design, this signature program can continue to build on skills, abilities and interests as far as a learner can push the limit. 

The Win

Learners come away from this experience with new mechanical knowledge and an introduction to motorsport, but mostly what we hear is that students discover something within themselves they didn’t know was there, and have an experience of collaboration and competition they didn’t expect.
